Everyone But Apple Seems To Be Affected By The Global Chip Shortage
As many of you have heard past now, the globe is facing a bit shortage. This is in part due to the pandemic that hit final yr that forced many countries to halt all activities, shut downwardly factories, and suspend production while they attempt to fight the virus. However, information technology seems that while many other companies are struggling to go their easily on chips, if there is one company that is seemingly unaffected, it would be Apple tree. This is according to a report from Wave7 Enquiry who claims that Apple tree is the least affected company when it comes to flake shortages.
Speaking to PCMag, Jeff Moore, primary at Wave7 said that the reason why is because apparently Apple tree managed to lock downwardly their own supply ahead of time. "Sources accept told Wave7 Research that Apple was able to lock downward chipset supply well alee of time. This was not the instance for other OEMs."
It is unclear if Apple knew this was coming or if this was something that they had always washed, and it is now working in their favor. That existence said, last calendar month Apple'southward CEO Tim Cook did warn investors that the global chip shortage could impact their ability to sell their products, just it is unclear how large of an issue this could be.
